How does it work?

The unique hybrid fractional laser of DiVa™ treatments safely deliver a combination of ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to the vaginal tissue, stimulating collagen production and rejuvenating the inner vaginal tissue. The diVA emits two laser wavelengths in a spiral pattern, helping to both smooth out the walls of the vagina and simultaneously strengthen and tighten the vaginal wall issues. The slow rotation of the DiVa™ dilator allows painless, thorough treatment of all areas, in turn boosting sexual health, vaginal moisture and elasticity, as well as improving overall vaginal comfort. Your treatment will be customized based on your symptoms, degree of severity, & desired goals to give you the best overall outcome.

What can I expect with DiVa™?

The DiVa™ is a very non-invasive therapy that takes just about four minutes to complete. A course of 2 to 3 treatments is recommended, 4 to 6 weeks apart.

If you prefer, a topical numbing cream may be applied to reduce any potential, yet minimal discomfort. The first step of the treatment is to painlessly insert a vaginal dilator which holds the walls of the vagina. Next the DiVa™ laser is inserted and gently rotates for about 4 minutes, allowing treatment of all affected areas.

Will it be painful?

No. While a topical anesthesia may be used, some of our patients choose to opt out completely since this treatment is so quick and painless. You may notice a small amount of warmth and pressure, but discomfort will be minimal. After treatment, you may notice a tiny amount of bloody discharge, but there is no downtime or post-procedure discomfort. The entire treatment only takes about 4 minutes! Avoiding intercourse is recommended for the first 48 hours post-treatment.

Are there potential side effects?

The most common side effects include cramping and spotting for 24 hours. Over the counter medications can be taken to alleviate any discomfort.
